ABOUT THE ST. PETER INSTITUTE

President's Welcome
Greetings in Christ and Mary, and welcome to the St. Peter Institute for Scripture and Evangelization! The Institute is a lay apostolate with the dedicated mission to equip Catholic Christians with the fullness of Truth in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition that they may always be prepared to make a defense of their faith to anyone who demands from them an account for the hope that is in them (cf. 1 Peter 3:15).
To achieve this, the directors of the St. Peter Institute, through prayerful discernment, have decided to embrace the exhortation of the XIII Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith (Oct. 7-28, 2012): "The frequent reading of the Sacred Scriptures – illuminated by the Tradition of the Church who hands them over to us and is their authentic interpreter – is not only necessary for knowing the very content of the Gospel, which is the person of Jesus in the context of salvation history. Reading the Scriptures also helps us to discover [and bring about] opportunities to encounter Jesus, truly evangelical approaches rooted in the fundamental dimensions of human life: the family, work, friendship, various forms of poverty and the trials of life, etc."
As such, founded on March 19, 2020, the Feast Day of St. Joseph, the St. Peter Institute for Scripture and Evangelization seeks to provide dioceses, parishes, faith formation groups, families, and individual faithful with the information and resources necessary to form their own faith and to then evangelize the nations with the fullness of truth in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. To achieve this, the Institute explores 5 key areas of study pertaining to Theology and Evangelization: Biblical Theology, Scriptural Apologetics, TOB/Marriage and the Family, Church History, and Evangelization. Each of the Directors of the Institute not only possess immersive expertise in their respective areas of study, they are each fully committed and faithful to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church, that the faithful may be evangelized through content and resources produced ex corde ecclesiae, from the heart of the Church.
It is the continuing goal of the St. Peter Institute cooperate with God's grace and Christ's great mandate for the conversion of all souls across the world into the fullness of revealed truth in the Catholic faith.
We hope that you find the resources provided here useful and formative to your own faith journey and teaching/evangelization needs. Please do continue to pray for and support the work that we do at the St. Peter Institute as a lay, apostolic, evangelical, Catholic organization. God Bless you now and always.
Sincerely,
Marcus B. Peter
